HISTORY OF MELCHIZEDEK CHURCH - KISUMU KENYA
With rising nagging demand to preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior .Many people have found themselves entangled in the spirit of the time- seducing spirit.
This ministry endeavors to preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that the spirit of the time is done away with completely.
We believe that God’s command to His people is to separate all disbelief and corruption and to make one clean and positive in life.
We believe in preaching the gospel to all Nations, all creations, and the formation of a worldwide fellowship and co-operation with true believing churches of God for the maintenance of pure steadfast testimony and the sharing of the worldwide great doctrines of the of the protestants which inherent in the commission of Christ to His church that it should make known the Gospel of Christ to every kindred, tongue, tribe and Nation.
We focus in being the true Ambassadors of Christ. Spirit filled and in one accord, seeks Him diligently, worshiping Him as our true God.
The Ministry Founder had a strong passion to have M.C to be felt as the voice of God, so as to help people discern the doctrine that mislead and follow sound doctrine. This revelation came to Apostle Nelson O. Aduogo in 1972 while an Evangelist with African Pentecostal church as the treasurer of the church organization.
The message JESUS IS GOD offended many pastors, church leaders and in particular the Bishop for he felt that Evangelist Nelson was taking people from the father (God) to worship Christ which was a concept of mis-understanding of the Trinity ,the function of the structure and the generation gap.
Well, since 1972 it was until 2009 that the M.C was registered officially with the society Act of Kenya and Authorized legally to evangelize without any interference of any third party.
THE EXECUTIVE OF THE CHURCH
We have six people registered as the official /executive of the church namely:
- Apostle Nelson Otwaro Aduogo- Chairman and the founder.
- Pastors Elisha Ochieng Atieno- Secretary General and co-founder.
- Elder Benson Okello Odondi- Treasurer and co- founder.
And other 3 three assistant of the above position.
WHAT KIND OF A CHURCH?
Melchizedek church is a Word of Faith church. We believe in the incorruptible Word of God. We believe that we must all be born again of the spirit. We believe in the ministry of Jesus Christ for today's life. The indwelling Spirit of God guides us and directs us. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Ghost. We believe that the evidence of being baptized into God's Spirit is speaking in tongues. We worship and praise God freely and with passion. God heals and delivers today as He has done in times past. God never changes. At Melchizedek church, church is more than a building, a place, or something we do on Sundays. Church is all about people having their lives radically changed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
All of us deal with difficulties, hardships, and questions that are sometimes tough to handle. We know that Christ can make a difference in our families, our work, our children, our marriages, and in everything we do. Therefore we rely on God's word for help in dealing with every issue we face. When you visit M.C, you will hear a simple message straight from God's Word that will meet you at the point of your everyday life.
Our priority begins with helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and then equipping them to share God's love through serving others.
Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT?
1) Melchizedek church:
You will receive a friendly welcome from people who sincerely care about you.
We worship the Lord in a blended service with both hymns and praise music.
You will hear a message from God's Word that is simple and easy for you and how we can apply God’s Word to our lives today.
2) Wonder what to wear?
There is not a dress code at M.C Family Church. We want you to feel comfortable as you visit with us.
So whether you come casual or in you’re "Sunday best" - we would be honored to have you as our guest!
3) Do you have programs for my child?
We do! We have program for Sunday school, orphans, youth etc.
Objectives
- To establish and maintain a church that worship the almighty God ,our heavenly father, lord Jesus Christ like Melchizedek Hebrew 7: 1-27: 6:20; 5:8.
- To hold open air meeting e.g. Crusades, door to door evangelism, seminar.
- To publish gospel tract, magazine and distribute religious literature, spiritual books.
- To promote the true (pure) and genuine religious- James 1: 27.
- To have the fivefold ministry titles of Apostle, prophet, Evangelist, pastor and teachers-Ephesians 4: 11
- To license and ordain ministers for the work of the ministry.
- To establish Christian centers and ministries for the youth.
- To establish prison and hospital ministry.
- To establish and maintain orphanage, Home for the elderly persons and street Boy’s home.
- To establish and maintain hospital, clinic center, counseling centers, VCT centre and college.
- Establish and maintain Bible College of sound doctrine and with a charter from Ministry of Education Higher learning or partnering with the institution offering the same service.
Core Values
Fellowship of the local church:
We are focused to have home cell meeting as a way of strengthening the families and creating good relationship. Act 5: 42; 10:42-43.
Sound doctrine:
We are committed to avoid any unscriptural teaching that can’t that give honor to God. 2 Timothy 2:2; Titus 2:1.
Unity as the body of Christ (love):
We teach our believers to be in one accord as the living church.

Family Centered:
We make Christ know to our families, neighbors, community, Nation and the outermost part of the world. Act 1: 8; Mathew 18: 20; Mathew 12: 25.
Worship in spirit:
We have no program for God, practice but our order of service is control by the Power of the Holy Ghost. It’s our prayer to control self, emotion but give room to the power of the Holy Spirit. John 4: 24; John 3: 5-6; 2corinthians 3: 17.
Divine Giving:
We teach 30% and 100% evidence from the bible as all we have are from God the creator of the universe. Mark 12:41-44; James 1: 27; Act 6:1-6; Luke 21: 1-4; Luke 16:9-13.

Affiliation/ partnership/ international fellowship:
We are ready to fellowship with true believers who are in acceptance with our statement of faith and of good integrity.
We offer affiliation certificate to church organizations willing to join us at a fee of monthly subscription /yearly/Long term MOU between the parties involved.
